Our parish is a common ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Though we come from two different traditions, we worship together in one spirit.
If you are looking for a welcoming place to worship, grow, or join in Christian community, please visit with us. We are an inclusive church where EVERYONE is welcomed to experience authentic Christianity.

Our members are fully Lutheran or fully Episcopalian depending on their chosen affiliation, but we worship together using a liturgy that is accessible to those familiar with both traditions. Episcopalians looking for a church home will comforted by the fact that our parish has come to understand the Episcopalians are defined by our liturgy and Lutherans by our Theology. That understanding has resulted in a Eucharist that will satisfy both the cradle Episcopalian and the lifelong Lutheran. Thankfully, those unfamiliar with either tradition have found our worship accessible and fulfilling.

Letter to the Editor from Saint Mary's Vestry
To the Editor:
There has been much press coverage of the Episcopal Church during the past few weeks because of the lack of agreement in the recent General Convention over certain issues concerning common life and governance. We at St. Mary’s feel that an unnecessarily negative picture has emerged from sometimes sensationalized reporting.
It is not surprising that there is disagreement in the Episcopal Church as it represents a cross section of America and includes people from all political philosophies and of all lifestyles. Naturally, reaching consensus on any controversial issue is difficult, sometimes impossible. However, that does not mean that dialogue should stop, nor does it mean that lack of consensus is to be interpreted as defeat.
We at St. Mary’s are a microcosm of the Episcopal Church, with a parish family of varied and interesting people from all different backgrounds, approaches, and orientations. Do we agree on everything? Hardly. Do we gather weekly to enjoy fellowship, to worship together, and to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord? Absolutely!
In fact, rather than seeing diversity as something negative, we have come to view it as something very positive. Sharing in life and ministry with people who may view the world differently from ourselves keeps up open to the mysterious workings of the Holy Spirit in our lives and allows us to be a welcoming church for all people.
Yours in Christ
Members of the Vestry of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church
